🌙 Eid Announcement 🌙
Dhul Hijjah 1447 / 2026
🌙✨ EID MUBARAK! Eid is Tomorrow, Insha Allah (05/27/2026) ✨🌙
Alhamdulillah, we welcome the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah and the arrival of Eid al-Adha, one of the greatest days in the Islamic calendar. Eid al-Adha reminds us of the obedience, sacrifice, patience, and trust in Allah shown by Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام), Prophet Isma‘il (عليه السلام), and their family.
May Allah accept from the Hujjaj their Hajj, accept from us our prayers, fasting, charity, sacrifice, and good deeds, and allow our community and the entire Ummah to experience these blessed days with mercy, forgiveness, unity, and peace.
🕌 Eid Prayer
✅ Eid Salah is tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 8:00 AM sharp, Insha Allah.
Please arrive early so we can begin on time.
🐑 Qurbani / Udhiyah Reminder
For those planning to offer Qurbani / Udhiyah, it should be performed after the Eid prayer and during the days of sacrifice, Insha Allah. Please make sure arrangements are made properly and that the meat is shared with family, neighbors, and those in need.
Allah ﷻ says:
«فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ»
“So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.”
Surah Al-Kawthar 108:2
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
«مَا عَمِلَ آدَمِيٌّ مِنْ عَمَلٍ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ إِهْرَاقِ الدَّمِ»
“There is no deed that the son of Adam does on the Day of Sacrifice that is more beloved to Allah than the sacrifice.”
🍽️ Community Potluck Meal
We will have a community potluck meal tomorrow, Wednesday May 27, 2026 immediately after Eid prayer, Insha Allah. Please bring a dish to share if you are able, and label ingredients if possible.
As we gather for Eid prayer, let us remember the meaning of Eid al-Adha: sincerity, sacrifice, gratitude, generosity, and submission to Allah. Let us also keep our families, our community, the Hujjaj, and the Ummah in our du‘as.
✅Sunnah Practices for Eid
Before Eid prayer, make ghusl, wear your best clean clothes, and apply fragrance for men. It is also from the Sunnah on Eid al-Adha to delay eating until after the Eid prayer, if one is offering Qurbani / Udhiyah.
Recite the Takbeer on the way to the prayer and throughout these blessed days:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil-hamd
الله أكبر، الله أكبر، لا إله إلا الله، الله أكبر، الله أكبر ولله الحمد
After the prayer, stay for the khutbah if possible, take a different route home if you can, and greet one another with joy, saying:
Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum.
May Allah accept from us and from you.
🤲 Du‘a
Allahumma taqabbal minna salatana wa du‘a’ana wa salih a‘malina.
O Allah, accept from us our prayers, our supplications, and our good deeds.
Allahumma taqabbal min al-Hujjaj hajjهم, waghfir lahum, waruddahum ila ahlihim salimeen maghfooran lahum.
O Allah, accept the Hajj of the pilgrims, forgive them, and return them safely to their families with their sins forgiven.
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anna.
O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and You love to forgive, so forgive us.
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka Antas-Sami‘ul-‘Aleem, wa tub ‘alayna innaka Antat-Tawwabur-Raheem.
Our Lord, accept from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. And turn to us in mercy. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Most Merciful.
Jazakum Allahu Khair 💞

Expanding Our Masjid: Everyone’s Effort, Everyone’s Reward
“The believers are like a structure, each part supporting the other”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)
If we truly wish to see our masjid grow to meet the needs of our expanding community—with a new school for our children, a larger and more comfortable prayer space for our sisters, and many essential updates—it must be a collective responsibility, not the burden of a few. These blessings are for everyone who contributes, regardless of the amount. This is not a time for spectatorship—it is a time for sincere action. Let’s all rise together to support this house of Allah!
